Frequently asked questions

Is there an entrance test for the Osmania distance MBA?

Yes. TG ICET 2026 qualifiers get direct admission. Others take PGRRCDE’s own test, run by the university’s Directorate of Admissions: 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, with a ₹900 application fee.

How much is the MBA?

₹20,000 a year, so ₹40,000 in tuition for the two years (our sum). Add the ₹600 registration fee, the migration fee and exam fees, for example ₹3,950 for the second-semester exam.

Can I join in January 2027?

No intake has been announced (checked 21 October 2026). Admissions for 2026-27 closed on 9 October 2026.

Can I study online instead?

UGC-DEB’s 2026-27 lists include Osmania University for distance (ODL) programmes only, not for online degrees. Classes for the distance courses are held online, with exams at centres.

What is Osmania University’s NAAC grade?

A+, with a CGPA of 3.52. NAAC’s letter of 14 July 2026 extends this accreditation until six months after it launches its new graded-levels system.

If Osmania CDE isn’t the right fit

If you missed the 9 October deadline, IGNOU admits in January and July, and its MBA has no entrance test. UGC-entitled private online MBAs start at ₹67,000 in total (Mangalayatan University, fee checked 17 October 2026).
