Every DU SOL exam is held in Delhi. Indian students living abroad also sit them in Delhi.
Each paper: 70 marks in the semester-end exam, 30 in internal assessment done online as multiple-choice tests.
Four, all in Delhi: North (5 Calvary Lane), South (South Moti Bagh), West (C-2 Keshav Puram), East (Plot 4, FC-10 Tahirpur). Study material is free: download, collect or by post.
UGC recognition. UGC-DEB’s 2026-27 lists recognise the University of Delhi for distance (ODL) programmes only. Six programmes, including the MBA, are on the recognised list with recognition up to January 2027; twelve more, including the BA, B.Com (Hons), MA and M.Com, are on the Category-I list.
Not for UG courses or the MBA. For MA and M.Com, CUET (PG) is optional: applicants with a CUET score are admitted first, and remaining seats go by graduation marks.
Graduation marks count for 80% and work experience for up to 20%. You can apply without work experience; your merit is then based on graduation marks.
Study material can be posted and some sessions run online, but every exam is held in Delhi.
₹57,920 for the first year in 2026-27, including a ₹3,620 exam fee. DU SOL hasn’t published the second-year fee.
2026-27 admissions closed on 13 October 2026. Nothing has been announced for 2027-28 yet.
If you live outside Delhi, the Delhi-only exams may rule DU SOL out. IGNOU, with 67 regional centres, is the other large government option. UGC-entitled private online MBAs start at ₹67,000 in total (Mangalayatan University, fee checked 17 October 2026).
