Exams and study

Exams twice a year

Semester exams are held in December-January and June-July, ordinarily at the GJUST campus or affiliated colleges. A change of exam centre is allowed only in genuine cases and costs ₹6,000.

Study material and contact classes

Distance learners get printed self-learning material from CDOE or by post; online learners get e-content on the LMS. The prospectus says 75% attendance in contact classes is compulsory to sit the final exams.

Study centres in Haryana

The prospectus lists 32 study centres, all in Haryana, in towns such as Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurugram, Panipat and Rewari. Each centre runs only some programmes.

UGC recognition. UGC-DEB’s 2026-27 lists recognise GJUST for 10 distance (ODL) programmes, including the MBA, MCA, M.Com, BA and B.Com, and entitle it to 8 online programmes: the B.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Com, M.Sc. Mathematics and MA in Mass Communication, Hindi and English. The distance MA English is recognised up to January 2027; the other distance programmes up to January 2028 or February 2029.
